Some years ago I tried to found a possibility to compile files written with MATLAB syntax with any free tool. It turned out that no such tool exists. Yet some popular MATLAB clones such as Octave and SciLab existed they did't provide creation of stand-alone application that may be freely and portably deployed. I started to work on the solution. Since I did not use all the power of MATLAB algorithms and toolboxes, I simplified the problem in such a way that only a minimal subset of built-in functions to be implemented yet the possibility for extension should be provided.
